I built this Cardboard Castle for my nieces and nephews last December. That is my dog Civ in front of it. In hindsight, it might have drawn from Michel Gondrys’s Science of Sleep film… Even though I think that movie draws it’s charm from a shared cultural memory of childhood and openness to creative solution from that age. Having access to that childlike creative space was a wonderful feeling. I encourage everyone to act on your own, if it presents itself to you.
We started doing this last year. We plan to do it every year. The process refines itself through repetition. We are creating a language by communing in nature and with each other. Please enjoy.
